PIXIO Pixel Studio – Privacy Policy

Effective 6 September 2026

In short: PIXIO does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything you draw stays on your device unless you choose to save it to your photo library or share it.

1. Who we are

PIXIO Pixel Studio (“PIXIO”, “the app”) is developed and published by Bitfarm, Norway. If you have any questions about this policy or the app, write to post@bitfarm.no.

2. What stays on your device

Deleting the app removes all of this.

3. Photo library

When you save a picture as a PNG, PIXIO asks for permission to add images to your photo library. It only adds the picture you export; it does not read, browse or upload your existing photos.

4. Sharing

Exporting an animation as a GIF opens your device’s share sheet. What happens to the file after that is handled by the app or service you choose, under its own privacy policy.

5. App updates

PIXIO can receive small improvements to its interface without a new App Store release. To do this, the app contacts the EAS Update service operated by Expo (650 Industries, Inc., USA) when it starts. That request contains the app’s version, platform and update channel, and a random identifier that was generated on your device when the app was first installed. The identifier is not linked to you, your Apple ID or your artwork; Expo uses it to deliver the right update and to count active installations. We only ever see aggregate numbers. Expo describes how it handles this data in its privacy policy.

6. Music

The optional background music is bundled inside the app and plays offline. Nothing is streamed and no data is sent.

7. Children

PIXIO is suitable for all ages. It contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no accounts and no social features, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf; the data described above lives on your own device and is removed when you delete the app. If you still have a question or concern, contact post@bitfarm.no. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Norway, Datatilsynet).

9. Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts to handle data differently, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change ships.
